Description

The Scikit-HEP project (http://scikit-hep.org/) is a community-driven and community-oriented project with the aim of providing Particle Physics at large with a Python package containing core and common tools.

Documentation

The documentation is hosted on the Scikit-HEP website, and the source code is in the doc/ folder. Sphinx is required for building the HTML pages. Also Pandoc is needed so that the Jupyter notebooks providing numerous examples are nicely embedded in the documentation. The documentation is built with the command:

$ make -C doc html

Installation

PyPI

You can download the latest distribution from PyPI here: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/scikit-hep

Using pip

You can install scikit-hep for yourself from the terminal by running:

pip install --user scikit-hep

If you want to install it for all users on your machine, do:

pip install scikit-hep
On Linux, do sudo pip install scikit-hep.

If you don't yet have the pip tool, you can get it following these instructions.
